Noah's November

November is a special month: It's the month of Thanksgiving, and, perhaps not coincidentally, it's also National Adoption Month!  We are so grateful for adoption, and we are so grateful for you, Noah.  To celebrate National Adoption month, I did a lot of posts about adoption on my blog, and Katie also wrote up her full story.  I know you will love reading her perspective someday.

To celebrate Thanksgiving, we went to Idaho to spend the holiday with Grandma and Grandpa Nielson.  Your Uncle Cole also got married the week before Thanksgiving, so we ended up spending 10 days with the family, and you loved every minute of it.  You were happier and smilier than I've ever seen you.  And why wouldn't you be, when you got to spend so much time with so many of your favorite people??

Your Birthparents (we saw Katie several times, and we saw Drew for an afternoon when he was home for his college break):

I think you were sad that you couldn't join us in eating the ginormous FH'zookie.
P.S. I love this little frowny face you make.  It is precious.

Matching cowlicks!

You had a very eventful November...and your December will be just as fun with your Westover relatives.  You are one lucky baby!!

Grandma Comes to Visit

Your Grandma Nielson spent the weekend here in Denver with us.  She couldn't get enough of you.  She held you and spoiled you all day and even kept you in her room for a few night feedings (now that's real devotion!).  She gave you several baths and read to you while she fed you.  :)  She is the best Grandma ever!

Snuggling with Grandma,
wearing the outfit that she gave you,
swaddled in the blanket she made you. :)

Grandma bought your crib, and she sewed all of the bedding that goes with it.  She made a quilt, bed skirt, sheet, and bumpers.  It looks so incredibly cute--just like you!

We will miss Grandma now that she's gone home to Idaho!

So Many Visitors!

Since we've been home from the hospital, you've had so many visitors.  It seems like the whole world is excited that you are finally here!

Uncle Derek and Uncle Cole were waiting for you at the condo on your first night home.  They couldn't even wait one day to meet you!  It really meant a lot to us.

Admiring you

They couldn't stop stroking your feet.  They said they were the softest thing they'd ever felt. :)

They came back to see you a second time later in the week.
The next day, your dad had to fly back to Colorado for work, so Grandma came back to see you (and to help me), and she brought Aunt Ashley along.

Aunt Ashley made you this onesie!
A few days later, your Bapa and Aunt Laura arrived for the weekend.

Bapa loved your floppiness.  "He a hunchback" he kept saying.  "He have curvature of the spine." :)

Aunt Laura couldn't stop kissing you!
I don't blame her!
And your favorite visitors of all...Katie and Drew!  They've come to see you twice since you've been with us. :)  They love and miss you so much.

Drew showed up wearing the shoes that we gave him! :)
And these photos don't even include our friends who came to visit you.  You are one popular little guy!!
